n0ted's Movement Matcher

Record your movement. Review your timing.

Record your in-game movement, visualise the path and review precise timing logs to refine your FPS mechanics.

See inputs and clicks on one timeline

Coloured bars show when movement keys are held. Click markers and millisecond labels help you inspect the timing between your inputs and shots.

Review the details of a movement sequence

Inspect direction changes alongside click events, scrub through a sequence and compare the timing with the charts and event log. Use the view to identify one part of your mechanics to practise next.

Record, visualise and review movement

In-game movement recording

Capture the movement you perform during a practice sequence. A recording gives you something concrete to revisit when you review or repeat the exercise.

Movement path visualisation

See the recorded movement path instead of relying only on memory. Use the visualisation to inspect the sequence and compare it with what you intended to do.

Precise timing logs

Review the logged timing alongside the path. Focus on one part of the sequence so your next practice session has a specific mechanic to refine.

How to use the desktop tool

  1. Request the installer. Enter your name and email above, then use the download button for MovementMatcher-Setup-1.0.0.exe.
  2. Install and open Movement Matcher. Record a short movement sequence during practice rather than changing several mechanics at once.
  3. Review the path and timing logs. Inspect how the recorded sequence compares with your intended movement. Mark one thing you want to repeat or refine.
  4. Connect the recording to your gameplay. Review the same moment in your VOD, then repeat the exercise with that context in mind.

Movement Matcher or Strafe Master?

Movement Matcher is the more complete recording and movement visualisation option. Strafe Master is a simpler overlay for click-to-strafe timing, with a customisable grid, green key feedback and sound cues.

Browser CSV companion

This optional browser analyser is separate from the Windows installer above. It reads CSV recordings; it does not record in-game movement itself or install the desktop utility.

Review A/D key changes, click timing and mouse traces from an existing CSV. Your CSV stays in the tool in your browser.

Explore your input timing
Use the keyboard demo first, then load a keyboard or mouse CSV. A desktop browser gives the charts more room.

Your CSV stays in this tool in your browser. No email is required to use the analyser.

How to use the browser CSV companion

The analyser reads recorded input data. It does not import a match video or your Riot account.

  1. Explore the demo. Open the tool, choose Keyboard Analysis, and use Play, Speed and the time scrubber to inspect the example timeline. Load the mouse example below to try Mouse Analysis.
  2. Load a CSV. Use Load Keyboard CSV for keyboard events or Load Mouse CSV for mouse coordinates. Keep timestamps in seconds and rows in chronological order. The sample downloads below show the expected columns. Each file can contain up to 5 MB and 50,000 rows.
  3. Inspect one pattern. Compare the A/D changes with click markers, or look at the mouse trace around a click. Scrub through a short segment rather than judging a whole session from one number.
  4. Connect it to your gameplay. Review the same moment in your VOD. Input timing alone cannot tell you whether your angle, crosshair placement or decision was correct.

Try the CSV examples

These small files contain synthetic practice data, so you can learn the importer before opening your own recordings.

Keyboard events

Columns: time,event_type,key. Use key_down, key_up and click events. The movement view tracks the a and d keys.

Download keyboard example

Mouse coordinates

Columns: time,x,y,speed, click. Coordinates are pixels; speed is pixels per second. Use 1 for a click and 0 otherwise. The importer can calculate speed from coordinate changes when no speed is provided.

Download mouse example

Already have an exporter? Match its columns to these examples. If the importer does not respond, check that you selected a CSV file and used the matching keyboard or mouse upload.

Use the numbers as a starting point

The browser CSV companion is an input analyser, not a rank prediction or a measurement of your character's exact in-game velocity. A balanced A/D chart is not a goal by itself. Your movement should suit the fight you are taking.

For a practical next step, read the APE peeking guide and the VOD review checklist. A coach can help connect the input pattern to your positioning and fight choices.
