Roadmap practice hub

Choose your next Valorant practice goal.

Start with something you can see in your gameplay. Pick the closest situation below, inspect the evidence and follow one guide before adding another drill.

Start with the situation you recognise

Choose one starting point. The linked lesson takes you through the details.

Missed duels

My first shots keep missing.
Check your recording
Pause before the first shot in five recent fights. Check where your crosshair started, whether you fired during movement and whether the weapon had recovered. A miss can have more than one cause.
Try one change
If movement timing keeps appearing, take your usual rifle into the Range: strafe, release the movement input, pause, fire one shot and move again. Keep the target distance consistent and inspect the feedback before shortening the pause.

Recurring ranked mistakes

I keep losing rounds in similar ways.
Check your recording
Mark three rounds where the same issue appears. Look before the visible mistake: what did you know, who could support the fight and what did the round need? Include a successful example when possible.
Try one change
Choose one repeated choice and write a specific replacement. For example, if you commit before a teammate can trade, use a cue to check their position before committing. Rehearse the alternative, then review the next relevant moments in a match.

Unsure what to practise

I have a recording, but no clear next step.
Check your recording
Use a normal match and pause before one important decision. Separate what you knew from what you guessed; check the round objective, your teammate's position and the alternative. Mark missing context as unknown.
Try one change
Write one short cue for a situation you can recognise. In your next recording, count the clear opportunities to use it and record what you did. Keep uncertain cases separate and judge the action independently of whether the round was won.

Adapt each suggestion to the evidence in your own matches. Follow the linked guide for the full context, sources and review notes.

Keep the next practice session focused

  1. Step 1

    Observe one pattern

Review ordinary gameplay and keep timestamps. Use what was available before the action, including examples that went well.

  2. Step 2

    Test one change

Choose one observable behaviour and a cue you can remember. Practise the replacement without changing several parts of your routine at once.

  3. Step 3

    Review the next opportunities

Count when the cue applied and what you did. Note changes in context; if evidence is unclear, collect another recording before drawing a conclusion.

Want another perspective?

Self-review can be enough to find a next step. If you cannot separate an execution issue from the fight you chose, bring a normal match and your own notes to a coaching discussion.
